Saturday was Serve Day. This is a day that churches come together to serve in our city. Youth groups have the option to come to the YouthFront Auditorium to kick off the day with a rally before they head out on their work projects. Hundreds gathered. Many groups skipped the rally and went straight to work. This is not just a one day out of the year event. We have developed dozens of partnerships with ministry and agencies. YouthFront desires to develop networks and partnerships between churches and organizations that are working in places of intense need within our city throughout the year. The weather was beautiful. As I drove around visiting various work sites it seemed that the whole city was outside enjoying the gorgeous KC Spring weather. It was amazing to see teenagers spread throughout the city working side by side with neighbors. The only incidents of this great day were sunburns. Here are some pictures.
