Of course a highlight of our just completed trip to New Zealand and Australia was getting to hang out with the Keels. We met them upon arrival and then stayed with them for four days. Four wonderful days with our good friends.
Mimi and Vicki did a lot of hiking and running. I went them one day and they about killed me. They live five minutes from the coast lined with beautiful beaches and rugged hills. Beautiful.
I went with Tim for the grand tour of Laidlaw College where Tim is serving as a Lecturer. It was great to see the college and sneak in some Library time. I met many of Tim's new friends and had a good theological discussion with a table full of Laidlaw Theologians and Lecturers over lunch. That night we saw a late night showing of The Book of Eli with six Laidlaw staff plus Tim, Mabry and me.
Mimi cooked a feast for us every night. We played games, told stories and had fun being together. Annie and I watched a few episodes of Glee together. Mabry is coming back to KC for a couple of weeks and will serve as a Teen Staffer at Youthfront Camp South for a week. He's definitely pumped about that. Blaise, as always, is full of joy and energy.
The next to last night we jumped in a car and raced to Piha - New Zealand's most famous surfing beach. We witnessed an incredible sunset. The last night Tim, Mimi, Vicki and I went out for desert and laughed until we almost wet ourselves.
We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks KEELS.

What a gREaT time we had with you guys! Loved reading your blog and seeing the photos.
Sure loved having you. Thanks for making the time.
Love you guys!
Mimi

I'm still laughing about our last night... Tim and I were on a roll and you and Vicki made the perfect audience. So much fun.
