I had four tickets to the Big 12 Championship Football Game at Arrowhead last night. I was hoping for another scenario like last year so that I could sell my tickets and make a little profit but such was not in the cards for 2008. It was a festive environment and fun to watch the Schooners in their warm-up before they win the National Championship next month. I had good company with Erik Leafblad, Jim Newberry and Jim's brother-in-law. Dang it was cold. By halftime the game was beyond any chance for Mizzou to mount a comeback so we retreated to the warmth of the nearby neighborhood Applebees for drink, food and the end of the game.
This is what a picture looks like (way to much head room) when taken by a random MU fan who already had way too much to drink before the game.
Is that a bit of facial hair I perceive?
We watched the game from home. You're right, As a USC fan I was hoping for a MU comeback, but in the end it was not to be...

My dad went to OU and so he was at the game(with a very cold and grumpy wife). He was elated that they one. My mom was just glad to be back home where it was warm :-)

It was a great time. Thanks for taking me along. Too bad we didn't get to see a better game.

Hey DeVries, excellent perception... I'm working on my Christmas look. I don't know if I will make it though because Vicki doesn't like kissing a face full of whiskers.

Erik Leafblad - you are most welcome... thank you for the food and drink.
Eric Peterson - you are a turd, although I will now cheer on OU for the sake of the Big 12.
